Frankie L.A

Frankie L.A is an Iranian-Australian artist based in Sydney, Australia. Her practice centres on embedding objects of cultural importance into wood boards, in conjunction with figure in context paintings and wood carvings. Her maximalist assemblage works tell stories of reconnecting to her Iranian heritage. The works are constructions of public and private spaces where memory and the search for identity become tangible. Frankie graduated from National Art School in 2021, completing her Batchelor of Fine Art degree majoring in painting. She entered an Emergent program at Stella Downer Fine Art consisting of a residency and two exhibitions along with two year mentorship with Steve Lopez. She had her first solo exhibition at Ditty Wheels gallery in 2022 and was a finalist in the Mosman Art Prize in the same year. Her work is held in private collections nationally and internationally. She has exhibited at various locations over Sydney including CBD Gallery. She completed her Master of Fine Art Degree in painting at National Art School in 2025.
