Omi McCurdie is a multidisciplinary artist based in Eora/Sydney, currently completing her MFA in Drawing at the National Art School, where she also earned a BFA in Ceramics. In 2023, she received the Anne Pata Memorial Drawing Prize and the N.E. Pethebridge Award for Ceramics. Her diverse practice encompassing drawing, painting, printmaking, performance, and installation centres on storytelling, the body, grief, domesticity, absurdity, and feminism. Recently, she exhibited in On Shared Ground, a group show featuring MFA students reflecting on a residency in Hill End. Before her visual arts career, McCurdie worked as a theatre actor in London and New York with the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company.
