Louis Nesbitt
Louis Nesbitt is a queer disabled artist based in Southwest Sydney on Cabrogal land. Nesbitt's practice examines this idea of the clinical body; that is, the objectification of patients in medical and legal settings such that they are broken down into a collection of symptoms, diseases or abnormalities without consideration of the individual they compose. Nesbitt draws on the themes of medical and court settings to objectify themselves in a performance of self-reclamation of bodily autonomy.
