Zoë MacPhail Prineas
Zoë MacPhail Prineas is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice is informed by her formative experience of identical twinship. Her work investigates the domestic sphere as a site where the familiar becomes uncanny, exploring tensions between the body and technology, the sensual and industrial. Working primarily with printmaking, sculptural assemblage, airbrush painting, and installation, Prineas reconfigures everyday objects into bodily surrogates and technological doppelgangers to reveal the permeable boundaries between self/other, inside/outside, public/private. Prineas holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking and a Master of Fine Arts from National Art School, where she received the Bird Holcomb Scholarship (2023).
